Partially Similar

Studio 2A | Woodbury School of Architecture

ARCH 281 | Fall 2019

Instructor: Mark Ericson

Partially similar is a housing project located in Los Angeles, California. It was derived from using the plan of Sts Sergius and Bacchus. Through the analysis of the part to whole relationship of the plan, lineaments were created to generate a new plan on Grasshopper. Throughout the studio we focused on studying the symmetry of the plan of our precedent to create a variety of variations of process models. The same plan was also used to create the sections and ultimately used to create the final model.
