ARCH 302 | Spring 2021

Instructor: Gerard Smulevich

Located in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles, California. The project preserves the Ballona wetlands from the effects of sea level rise. The program is split into two buildings one in the breakwater and one out in the ocean, while using drone programed platforms for the transportation. For the survival of the wetlands and the bird specie as wetlands continue to flood our project is designed to be apart of a larger system of wetlands in the ocean. This will allow for Marina del Rey to still be a bird hotspot for the migration seasons and keep the Ballona wetlands existence.
