The Immersive Pavilion

Studio 4B | Woodbury School of Architecture

ARCH 402 | Spring 2022

Instructor: Eric Olsen

Located in Los Angeles CA, this project consists of reviving the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. One of the major problems it faces is the lack of a younger audience and the lack of daily visits. The goal of my project was to create an immersive environment at the top of the building where the stage would have multiple configurations to show a variety of scenes in the best way possible. The outer facade will also display images and videos along the building to attract an audience. The highest point of the building also consist of a public space to invite more people throughout the day and ultimately have a continuous flow of people visiting the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
